What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll oversee the nursery kitchen and help ensure meals are prepared and served safely and on schedule. Your responsibilities will include:

• Planning and preparing nutritious, age-appropriate meals in line with the nursery’s menus and requirements.

• Leading and supporting kitchen staff during food preparation and service.

• Managing food orders, stock, and kitchen organization.

• Following food hygiene, allergen, and health and safety procedures.

• Carefully managing dietary requirements and communicating relevant information to the nursery team.

• Maintaining a clean, safe kitchen and completing required checks and records.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience leading a professional kitchen as a Head Chef or in a similar senior role.

• Experience preparing meals for children or working in a nursery, school, or other childcare setting is an advantage.

• Food hygiene and allergen awareness training.

• Strong kitchen leadership, organization, and communication skills.

• A reliable, adaptable, and professional approach.

• Careful attention to food safety, dietary needs, and safeguarding procedures.
