About the Role

We are recruiting a Temp CDP to join a busy hotel and restaurant team in Gainsborough. This is a temporary position paying £17.37 per hour. The role is ideal for an experienced Chef de Partie who wants varied shifts, supportive colleagues, and the opportunity to work in a high‑standard hospitality setting.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Temp Chef de Partie, you will work within the kitchen brigade to deliver consistently excellent food. Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes to the establishment’s standards and menu specifications.

• Running and maintaining a section during service, ensuring timing, quality, and portion control.

• Carrying out mise en place and managing prep tasks to meet service needs.

• Maintaining high standards of food hygiene, safety, and kitchen organisation at all times.

• Working collaboratively with the Head Chef, Sous Chef, and front‑of‑house to deliver a seamless guest experience.

• Stock rotation, basic ordering support, and assisting with waste control and portioning.

Role Expectations

As a Chef de Partie you will be expected to:

• Deliver consistent, well‑executed dishes from your section.

• Supervise junior team members when required and support a positive working environment.

• Follow recipes, presentation guidelines, and portion controls.

• Be flexible with shift patterns including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays as required by the business.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role in a hotel, restaurant, or high‑volume kitchen.

• Level 2 Food Hygiene and Allergen Awareness (or equivalent) preferred.

• Reliable, punctual, and able to adapt quickly to different kitchen teams and menus.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills with a professional attitude.

• Ability to work under pressure and maintain standards during busy service periods.
