The Role

We’re looking for a Kitchen Manager / Senior Chef to lead the kitchen at a busy and popular breakfast and brunch venue in Borden.

This is a fresh food led kitchen, where the menu is prepared fully in-house. The venue has built a strong reputation locally with a loyal following of regular guests who come for creative brunch dishes, seasonal specials and excellent coffee.

You will help maintain high standards during service while also contributing ideas, specials and creativity to the menu.

As an independently owned venue, you will have direct access to the owners. Decisions are made quickly and there are no unnecessary restrictions when it comes to investing in the team, improving the kitchen or introducing new food ideas.

The Kitchen Team

You will be working alongside a supportive and stable team:

• 1 × Kitchen Leader

• 1 × Sous Chef working alongside you on service

• 2 × Chefs focused on prep and bookings

• 1 × Kitchen Porter

The team culture is positive and professional, with very low staff turnover.

What We’re Looking For

• At least 2 years’ experience as a Senior Chef or Kitchen Manager

• A chef who is eager to develop, grow and lead a team

• A team player with a positive, no-ego approach

• Someone passionate about fresh food, clean plating and strong flavours
