The Opportunity

We are recruiting a reliable Temp Breakfast Chef to join the kitchen team at a luxury hotel in Wetherby. This role focuses on delivering consistently high-quality breakfast service, working as part of a professional brigade to exceed guest expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and present breakfast dishes to the hotel's standards

• Manage breakfast station setup and breakdown, ensuring efficiency during service

• Maintain high standards of food hygiene and personal cleanliness

• Follow menus, portion control, and plating specifications

• Assist with light prep for other meal periods when required

• Communicate clearly with front-of-house to ensure smooth guest service

• Keep work areas clean, organised, and stock levels maintained

About the Breakfast Service

• Service typically starts early morning (shift patterns vary)

• Combination of cooked-to-order and buffet elements

• High emphasis on presentation, speed, and guest interaction

• Average covers: 60–120 per service depending on occupancy

Working Hours

• Early morning shifts, typically 4–6 hours per shift

• Temp bookings — single shifts or multi-day assignments

• Flexible availability preferred, including weekends

Person Specification

• Previous experience working breakfast service in hotels or high-volume outlets

• Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate or equivalent (desirable)

• Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure

• Good communication skills and a professional, guest-focused approach

• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision

• Positive attitude and willingness to assist the wider kitchen team
