Head Chef Required

On behalf of my client, we are recruiting an experienced Head Chef to lead kitchen operations within a well-established hospitality venue in Inverness.

This is an excellent opportunity for a confident Head Chef who is passionate about high standards, strong leadership, and delivering exceptional dining experiences.

As Head Chef, you will take full responsibility for kitchen performance, team development, food quality, and cost control, while driving creativity and consistency across all menus.

The site is a popular 4 Star Hotel with 110 bedrooms and 11 apartments, the food is traditional with a refined plating style worthy of a 1 Rosette standard.

The Role

• Lead and manage the kitchen team to ensure smooth daily operations

• Develop innovative menus showcasing local ingredients and current culinary trends

• Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistency and quality

• Maintain exceptional standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness

• Manage stock control, ordering, and kitchen costings

• Train, mentor, and inspire kitchen staff

• Work closely with front-of-house teams to enhance guest experience

• Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and company policies

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef within hospitality

• Strong leadership and team management skills

• Excellent knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards

• Creative approach to menu development

• Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment

• Strong communication and organisational skills

• Hotel or restaurant background preferred

• Formal culinary qualifications advantageous
