The Opportunity

We are seeking a reliable Temporary Chef de Partie to join a busy, food-led pub in Oldham. This is an ideal role for an experienced CDP who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, delivering high-quality, seasonal pub dishes, and can slot into an existing brigade with confidence.

You will work across a variety of sections, supporting the Head Chef and Sous Chef during service and prep. The successful candidate will maintain the venue’s standards for presentation, portioning, and consistency while following food safety and hygiene procedures.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Prepare and cook dishes to the menu and daily specials with consistency and attention to detail.

• Run a section during service ensuring timing and quality are maintained.

• Support mise en place and daily prep to agreed standards.

• Help with stock rotation, portion control, and basic ordering when required.

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and food safety at all times.

• Work collaboratively with the wider team to ensure smooth service and customer satisfaction.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience as a Chef de Partie in a pub or similar hospitality environment (agency or relief experience welcome).

• Level 2 Food Hygiene and Allergens awareness (or willingness to obtain).

• Ability to work under pressure, adapt quickly, and maintain quality standards.

• Reliable, punctual, and flexible availability including evenings and weekends.

• Strong team player with good communication skills and a positive, professional attitude.
