Location: Scarborough
Pay: £12.72 per hour | £16,701.36 per annum (based on average hours)
Average Hours: 25.25 hours per week (daytime only – no late nights)

The Role – Cook / Chef
Are you a Cook or Chef looking to regain a healthy work-life balance? This could be the perfect opportunity. All shifts operate within daytime hours, allowing you to focus on delivering great food while enjoying your evenings free.
As a Cook / Chef, you will be part of a friendly and supportive kitchen team, focusing on quality food delivery, menu discipline and creative daily specials. You’ll benefit from strong management support with menu development, marketing, margin control and administration, allowing you to concentrate on what you do best in the kitchen.
Once service is complete, you can hang up your apron and enjoy genuine work-life balance.
Working Hours
Week One
Wednesday: 7.45am – 5.00pm
Friday: 7.45am – 5.00pm
Total: 17.5 hours
Week Two
Wednesday: 7.45am – 4.00pm
Friday: 7.45am – 5.00pm
Saturday: 7.45am – 5.00pm
Sunday: 7.45am – 4.00pm
Total: 33 hours
Average: 25.25 hours per week
Key Responsibilities
As a Cook / Chef, you will:
Deliver excellent service and consistently high food standards
Ensure all food safety, health and hygiene standards are met
Complete and maintain all due diligence and compliance records
Contribute to menu development, production methods and kitchen improvements
Maintain a clean, organised kitchen using clean-as-you-go practices
Minimise waste through effective portion control and quality checks
Support the training and coaching of new starters
Promote strong teamwork across all catering areas
Maintain high standards of cleanliness, including deep cleaning of kitchen equipment
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
The ideal Cook / Chef will have:
Previous experience working in a busy kitchen environment (essential)
A catering qualification or recognised apprenticeship (desirable)
Good knowledge of food safety legislation and industry standards
A positive attitude and strong team-working skills
A passion for delivering consistent, high-quality food
