Job Overview

Our client is looking for an experienced and reliable Chef to join a well-established, independent café In Ashtead Village. This part-time Chef role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a café kitchen, delivering consistently high-quality breakfast and lunch dishes in a fast-paced but friendly environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily kitchen operations to ensure high-quality food production

• Prepare, cook, and present breakfast and lunch dishes to a high standard

• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen

• Take responsibility for washing and maintaining kitchen equipment during shifts

• Complete end-of-day kitchen close-down to a satisfactory standard

Kitchen & Menu Information

• Breakfast service:

  • Weekdays: 8:00am – 12:00pm

  • Saturdays: 9:00am – 3:00pm

  • Sundays: 9:00am – 2:00pm

• Lunch service runs until 3:00pm on weekdays

Menus are café-style breakfast and lunch offerings.

Shifts

• Saturday: 8:00am – 3:30pm

• Sunday: 8:00am – 2:30pm

• Weekdays: 7:15am – 3:30pm

(Flexible options available, including Sunday-only shifts)

Candidate Requirements

• Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar café kitchen role

• Strong food preparation and cooking skills

• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations

• Hard-working, reliable, and positive attitude

• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining quality

• Passion for cooking and presenting well-executed dishes
