Key Breakfast Chef Responsibilities at a Luxury Hotel
- Breakfast service: Lead preparation, cooking, and service of all breakfast offerings — plated service — ensuring every plate delivers on flavour and presentation
- Fresh, local produce focus: Champion our seasonal, local, and estate-grown ingredients in every dish
- Guest satisfaction: Go the extra mile to adapt to guest preferences, dietary needs, and feedback, always aiming for a memorable breakfast experience
- Kitchen organization: Maintain excellent mise en place, storage, and stock rotation, ensuring a smooth, efficient start to each day
- Hygiene and food safety: Uphold 5-star standards of cleanliness, health, and safety in all areas of the kitchen, in line with HACCP and hotel policies
- Collaboration: Communicate positively with front-of-house and kitchen teams, supporting a calm, inclusive, and guest-focused culture

- Professional experience: Previous background as a breakfast chef, chef de partie, or similar in a hotel, fine dining, or premium environment
- Culinary creativity and consistency: Confidence in creating and presenting beautiful plates — from classic to contemporary — with a keen attention to detail
- Passion for service: A genuine desire to provide guests with a memorable start to their day
- Reliability and organization: Proactive, tidy, and able to thrive during busy service periods
- Food safety qualifications: Level 2 (or higher) Food Hygiene Certificate is desirable
- Team spirit: A respectful, positive attitude and a commitment to supporting the whole brigade
- Adaptable and solutions-focused: Comfortable accommodating allergies, dietary preferences, and special requests
