Sous Chef – £36,000 to £42,000 + Tronc + Benefits (Accommodation Available)

Location: North Yorkshire

We are looking for a forward-thinking, passionate Sous Chef to join the kitchen brigade at this vibrant, family-run venue — a stunning Function, Wedding, Restaurant, and Golf destination set within 1,000 acres of beautiful Yorkshire woodland.

Working closely with the Head Chef, you’ll help lead a dynamic team, inspiring them to deliver outstanding food and service across multiple outlets, including our modern restaurant, function suites, and exclusive events.

What You’ll Do

• Deliver exceptional food using fresh, locally sourced produce
• Support the Head Chef in driving innovation and maintaining high standards
• Train, mentor, and motivate kitchen team members
• Uphold excellent food hygiene, safety, and allergen standards
• Oversee stock control, ordering, and cost management
• Assist in menu planning and development for seasonal and special events
• Maintain rota, cleaning, and training schedules

About You

• Minimum 5 years’ kitchen experience, ideally in a similar role
• A creative and hands-on leader who thrives under pressure
• Excellent understanding of kitchen management, stock control, and HACCP procedures
• Full driving licence preferred (but not essential)

What’s On Offer

• Salary: £36,000 – £42,000 (DOE)
• Tronc: approx. £250/month (in addition to salary)
• Hours: 45 hours per week, 5 days over 7
  • Typical pattern: 3 × 12-hour shifts, 1 × 10–4 shift, 1 × 4–10 shift
