Kitchen Assistant Opportunity in Private School – Halifax – Immediate Start

As a Temp Kitchen Assistant, you will assist with daily food preparation, maintain excellent kitchen hygiene, and support the team in creating nutritious meals for students and staff.

Key Responsibilities – Temp Kitchen Assistant

• Assist with the preparation of fresh, healthy meals for breakfast, lunch, and snacks.
• Help maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the kitchen and all food service areas.
• Wash dishes, utensils, equipment, and kitchen surfaces following food safety and hygiene standards.
• Support chefs and kitchen staff during busy service times, including setting up and clearing down workstations.
• Follow all relevant food safety, allergen, and health and safety procedures at all times.
• Assist with receiving and storing kitchen deliveries as needed.
• Carry out any other reasonable kitchen duties as directed by the Head Chef or kitchen management.

Requirements – Kitchen Assistant, Private School Halifax

• Previous experience in a kitchen or catering environment (preferred but not essential).
