About This Chef de Partie Role – Stately Home Events Kitchen

As a Temp Chef de Partie, you will play a vital role in the smooth running of our kitchen operations. You’ll work alongside a talented team of chefs, preparing dishes for fine dining, banqueting, and special events hosted at the property. We are seeking someone reliable, adaptable, and committed to delivering exceptional standards in every dish.

Main Responsibilities – Temporary CDP Malton

• Prepare, cook, and present dishes to the highest standards, following event menus and guidelines
• Work effectively within a brigade during busy banquets, weddings, and private functions
• Maintain strict food hygiene and safety standards at all times
• Assist with stock checks, food storage, and rotation
• Support junior team members and contribute positively to a collaborative kitchen environment
• Adapt quickly to the unique demands of catering within a stately home setting

Skills & Experience – Ideal Temp CDP Candidate

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Chef de Partie or similar in high-quality, fresh-food kitchens
• Demonstrable knowledge of fine dining or large event catering (banquets/weddings desirable)
• Valid Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate (essential)
• Strong team player, reliable, and able to work efficiently under pressure
• Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including evenings and weekends as required
• Confident communicator with a positive “can-do” attitude
