About the Role – Lead Chef within an Education Catering Environment

• Act as the Head Chef, responsible for the smooth daily running of the school kitchen
• Plan, prepare, and deliver nutritious, balanced menus for students and staff, using fresh, seasonal ingredients
• Lead, motivate, and manage the kitchen team, ensuring everyone works efficiently and cohesively

Ideal Candidate Profile – School Head Chef (Temporary)

• Proven experience as a Head Chef, Sous Chef, or strong Senior Chef in schools, contract catering, or similar environments
• Confident managing both people and kitchen operations under time constraints
• Demonstrates knowledge of nutritional guidelines for educational settings
• Understands compliance with food safety, allergen, and safeguarding regulations in a school/children’s environment
• Clear communicator with a positive, team-focused approach
• Reliable, organized, and able to drive high standards consistently
• Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check required (we can help arrange if needed)
