Key Responsibilities in Temporary Head Chef Jobs – Rugby Club, Topsham
- Take full responsibility for all kitchen operations, ensuring the smooth running of daily service.
- Design, prepare, and deliver fresh, seasonal menus for players, members, and guests.
- Lead, train, and motivate the kitchen team to deliver consistent, high standards of food and service.
- Oversee stock control, ordering, and receipt of deliveries, maintaining budget and minimizing waste.

Essential Skills and Experience for Head Chef Roles in Sports Clubs
- Minimum 4 years' experience in a Head Chef or senior kitchen role within fresh food catering, pubs, or sports venues.
- Level 2 Food Hygiene and Allergen Awareness qualification (required).
- Proven leadership qualities, with the ability to inspire and guide a team during busy periods.
- Strong organizational, communication, and time management abilities.
- Confidence managing ordering, planning menus, and coordinating kitchen rotas.
- Experience in catering to a range of dietary requirements and group sizes.
- DBS Check preferred but not essential for this role.
