Junior Sous Chef / Experienced Chef de Partie – Fine Dining
Location: Ilkley, West Yorkshire
Salary: £35,000 per annum + £5,000–£7,000 tips via tronc
Our client, a renowned fine dining restaurant with a prestigious history, is seeking a Junior Sous Chef to strengthen their kitchen team. While the ideal candidate will already be operating at Junior Sous level, highly skilled Chef de Parties from high-end, fine dining backgrounds will also be considered.
About the Role:
You will join a talented brigade under the leadership of a new Head Chef (appointed January 2024) with a clear mission: regaining the restaurant’s Michelin star status. The venue is celebrated for its exceptional culinary heritage — having launched the career of Marco Pierre White and previously earning the distinction of being the first 2 Michelin Star restaurant outside London.
What We’re Looking For:
- Fine dining background is essential — Michelin experience is highly desirable, though 3 AA Rosettes experience will also be considered.
- Proven ability to perform at a high standard in a busy, quality-driven kitchen.
- Passion, drive, and readiness to contribute towards achieving Michelin recognition.
The Offer:
- Salary: £35,000 per annum.
- Tips: Additional £5,000–£7,000 per year via tronc.
- Modern kitchen facilities installed January 2024.
- Approx. 50 hours per week.
- Evening service Wednesday to Saturday, lunch service Friday to Sunday. Sunday finish around 5pm.
