Nightingale Chefs is currently seeking a reliable Kitchen Assistant to support the catering team at a well-known college near Settle, North Yorkshire. This is a temporary role, working 37 hours per week over 5 days out of 7.

Role Overview:

As a Kitchen Assistant, you will support the daily operations of the kitchen, helping to prepare and serve meals while maintaining excellent hygiene and safety standards. This is a key support role in ensuring nutritious and balanced meals are provided to students and staff in an educational setting.

Key Responsibilities:

✅ Assist with basic food preparation under the guidance of senior kitchen staff
✅ Help with serving meals and setting up the service area
✅ Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen, including dishwashing and sanitising surfaces
✅ Support compliance with food hygiene and allergen safety protocols
✅ Follow safeguarding and health & safety procedures at all times

Requirements:

🔹 Level 2 Food Hygiene & Safety
🔹 Allergen Awareness Certification
🔹 Enhanced DBS Check (Required)
🔹 Safeguarding Training
